Loading Dock & Bay

An open dock door is a four-foot drop a forklift can back into. SkyHigh guards loading docks and bays so the edge is protected whether the door is in use or not.
- Open dock doors leaving an unguarded drop to grade or trailer level.
- Forklift and pedestrian traffic sharing the same edge.
- Edges that must open and close for loading throughout the day.
- Forklifts striking door frames, columns and equipment in tight, high-traffic openings.
- Poor visibility inside trailers and at forklift–pedestrian crossing points.
We install forklift-rated and folding guardrails that protect the opening yet fold clear for loading, plus self-closing gates for pedestrian access points.
Door openings are protected with heavy-duty forklift impact guards, bollards and corner protectors that absorb strikes and keep frames, columns and rails intact.
For visibility and traffic safety we add dock safety lighting — laser guidance lines that help operators line up trailers and forklifts, LED dock lights that illuminate the trailer interior, and motion-triggered red-zone warning projectors that alert pedestrians where forklifts cross.
For elevated bays we add fixed edge protection and warning lines to define safe travel paths around the dock.

Guardrails & Edge Protection
Non-penetrating, permanent and loading-dock guardrails that protect roof edges and open sides without compromising the structure.
View systemSelf-Closing Safety Gates
Spring-loaded, self-closing gates that protect ladder openings, platform access points and pass-throughs — always closing behind the worker.
View systemWarning Line Systems
Weighted, non-penetrating warning lines that set a clear, compliant boundary back from the roof edge — no roof penetrations, no membrane damage.
